I have a new Windows 7 Premium Edition laptop. I installed the complete version of Office 2007 Enterprise. I went to use an Excel template and found that no matter how many times I try, I get the following error when trying to use ANY template on the Microsoft site. All software is completely legal and purchased appropraitely. Template Download Error The template cannot be downloaded. To fix this problem, do the following: * Make sure your computer is connected to the internet. * Make sure your browser is not in offline mode.

* Try to download the template again later. Then you can click 'OK'. I am connected to the internet, I am not in offline mode, and I have tried unsucessfully to wait and attempt the download again. I think something is preventing this from downloading, but the Active X control installed correctly, and I am able to download directly from the MS Office website, but not through Excel. Any suggestions?

Make sure your a local admin on your machine and install the latest service pack for office 2007.
